@Scootles: Unfortunately this has been an issue affecting many (myself included) with the App Store, and it isn't something we have control over (believe me, if only!) Often I've simply had to wait for the App Store to start working again, but sometimes stopping the download completely and restarting the device seemed to help. Ultimately though you may need to contact Apple for assistance, since they own and operate the App Store. Please let me know how it turns out!

Finally cleared up after cycling the power and reinstalling.
