1Password Safari extension unlock with bluetooth keyboard
Can the 1Password extension in Safari (and other apps) accept bluetooth keyboard input to unlock? It's a pain having to type in on the screen the passcode...

@mattfaulds: You should be able to use a bluetooth keyboard anywhere in place of the onscreen keyboard. Were you having trouble with that? If so, be sure to let me know the exact steps you're taking and the symptoms you're seeing!

Thanks. Whenever I launch the 1Password extension, for instance in Safari like in the screenshot, I cannot use the Bluetooth keyboard to input the passcode. However, the keyboard is working fine all the rest of the time. Weird.I have just tested and I can't use the keyboard to enter the passcode when launching the 1Password app either.
The keyboard is properly connected and working - I'm typing with it now.

@mattfaulds: Oh ho! Thanks for the screenshot! That certainly changes things, if it's specific to the PIN input, which of course isn't the default iOS keyboard.
Unfortunately I don't have the PIN option myself. I'll see if one of my colleagues can reproduce this. But if you don't mind, are you able to enter your Master Password using the bluetooth keyboard if you disable the PIN option temporarily? Please let me know what you find. I look forward to hearing back from you! :)

@brenty Interesting - it works fine for master password so it is specific to the passcode entry.

@mattfaulds: Thanks for confirming my suspicion. I can't say for certain (I'll have to check with the development team), but it looks like we're not using a standard iOS UI element there. There may not even be one like that which we can use, if it's reserved for the device lock screen, so we may have needed to create one for that purpose...and of course then we'll need to figure out how to enable keyboard input there as well. I've reported this so we can investigate further to address the issue. I'm sorry for the trouble here. Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention! :)

@brenty That's great. Small UI issue really but would make the new workflow on iOS much nicer...

Thanks for the feedback @mattfaulds. As someone who has recently started using an iPad + Bluetooth keyboard as my primary productivity tool I can definitely see the desire to be able to handle this.

Sometimes under certain circumstances this happens to me too and I use a normal alphanumeric passcode to protect my 1password. Here's an example, I was in the Tapatalk app on my iPad Air 2 and I used the 1password button in the app (implemented by the developer presumably) and it correctly launched the miniature version of 1password. It asked for my master password (I haven't used the iPad in a couple of days and hence Touch ID wasn't an option) but no keyboard came up on screen as I had my Bluetooth keyboard case connected but I couldn't type the password in on there either. Only way to get out of this was to disconnect the keyboard cover (to turn off the BT) and then the onscreen keyboard popped up.
Like Ben above, I also am using my iPad with a keyboard as a primary productivity tool so would greatly appreciate if it could be updated (also makes the experience feel tidier).
