6.1.2 Bug - After update 1Password PRO keeps asking for Master Password

Hi,
I recently updated to 6.1.2 (Dec 3, 2015) on an iPad Air 2 running iOS 9.1. I am running the PRO version.
So what happens now is that when ever I enter my Master Password (which is unfortunately long) 1Password keeps asking for the Master Password. Even when I have the app open for a few seconds. Which is a real pain. Is it perhaps crashing??? I don't think so, as the app is sometimes still on the screen when it again asks for the Master Password
Before the behaviour was that it would accept my finger print to re-open 1Password.
It would only ask for the Master Password if my iPad Air 2 shut down and was started from scratch.
Surely this a bug?
Any suggestions on what to do?
TIA

  • Hi @platypus,

Thanks for taking the time to write in. What you've described should still be possible. Could you please let me know what your settings are for each option under 1Password > Settings > Security?

    Thanks!

    Hi Ben

    Thanks for replying.

    Information as requested:
    Lock on Exit: Off
    Auto-Lock: 10 Minutes
    Touch ID: On
    Clear Clipboard: Never
    Conceal Passwords: On

  • Thanks @platypus. Those settings look right, so I suspect there is something else going on. Could you please try turning off iPad Unlock under Touch ID and Passcode within the Settings app, restart your iPad, and then turn that setting back on? You may also need to toggle Touch ID off and back on within 1Password itself.

Please let me know how that turns out.

Hello. I have the same problem with your app, except I have an iPad mini 2 without Touch ID. What is the fix?

  • Hi @caplecl,

Could you please let me know what settings you have set under 1Password > Settings > Security?

    Thanks!

    Hello Ben,
Thank you for your response. My settings are:
    Lock on Exit: off
    Auto-Lock: 30-Minutes
    PIN Code: off
    1Password Watchtower: off
    Clear Clipboard: Never
    Conceal Passwords: on

  • @caplecl,

In order to not be prompted for your Master Password on each use you would need to turn PIN Code on.

    Thanks.

    Ben
