Will Next Version of 1Password for Teams include iCloud sync?
I am interested in using 1Password for Team but it seems that to do so, for now, I would have to give up my iCloud synching, which I'm not wanting to give up. Will Next Version of 1Password for Teams include iCloud sync?
In the meantime, seems that I'll have to live with not being able to move logins, etc. between my accounts. Are there other things that I can't do in the browser version that I can do in the desktop version?

Hi @GoodBits,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us.
Team vaults that you create in 1Password for Teams work alongside your existing personal vaults which can be synced just like you've always synced them.
From our FAQ for Existing 1Password Users:
Your vaults and items stay where you put them — whether that’s offline on your hard drive, in Dropbox, iCloud, or in 1Password for Teams. You decide what to do with your data, not us. You can of course migrate data to 1Password for Teams if you choose.
1Password for Teams integrates directly with the existing Mac app, so it's just a matter of whether the vault is in your Team or a personal vault outside of it. The behavior in terms of filling in your browser, etc. is the same either way.
You might want to give the whole FAQ for existing users a read. It answers many common questions. But if you have any other questions, we're always here to answer them for you. Let me know if you do. :)
Of course, one of the best ways to get some answers is with some hands-on time, so you can experience it for yourself.

On the following site: https://support.1password.com/teams-setup-existing-user/mac.html, it says, "The Mac App Store version of 1Password does not currently support 1Password for Teams. If you are using the version of 1Password from the Mac App Store, you’ll need to switch to the version from the AgileBits Store in order to use the beta."
On this site: https://support.1password.com/switch-from-mac-app-store/, it says, "Only the version of 1Password from the Mac App Store can sync with iCloud."
Thus my question. Seems that if I want 1Password for Teams, I must have the AgileBits Store version and the AgileBits Store version does not have iCloud synching. Am I mistaken in my understanding?

Ah, yes. Of course you are correct, @GoodBits. My apologies.
During the beta period of 1Password for Teams, it's not possible to both sync with iCloud and beta test 1Password for Teams in the Mac app. Once 1Password for Teams is available in the version of 1Password from the Mac App Store, this distinction will disappear.

Thank you.

Khad, now that 1Password 6 is iCloud compatible for both the AgileBits and App Store version, what should I be doing to get my version updated so that it can see 1Password for Teams and so that I may fluidly drag and drop between my 1Password vaults? My email is [email address removed by admin] for my local copy and [email removed by admin] for my 1Password for Teams account. Do I need to do something to reconcile that? I am running Version 5.4 (540046) from the Mac Store.

Hi @GoodBits,
You're right, iCloud Sync is now available on both versions of the app. We've submitted 1Password 6.0 to the Mac App Store and it's currently waiting for review by Apple before it gets accepted as an update. My recommendation is that you wait until the update becomes available on the Mac App Store which will hopefully happen soon (I can't give an exact timeframe as we have no visibility into their review process).
Once you have 1Password 6, you shouldn't need to reconcile anything. You'll continue syncing via iCloud for your Primary vault, and you can sign in to Teams with your other email address.
Have a great day.
Rick

Hi @GoodBits,
I'm glad to see that Rick's response helped you out!
I just wanted to let you know that I've edited your earlier post to remove the email addresses you included. This is a public forum, and I don't imagine you want that information available for others to see.
If you have any further questions about 1Password, please let us know. :)

Installed the Mac update but still not seeing how to now be able to move logins from my Primary Vault to a shared vault associated with 1Password for Teams. Please advise.

@GoodBits I think, in general terms, this Teams FAQ for Existing 1Password Users will help you and specifically this section:
Can I move my existing data into 1Password for Teams?

The other vaults display from the Share menu but they are grayed out not available to select.

Is your teams account a limited one? or one that is not able to share between vaults (teams) etc. Just a thought and may not be relevant to your situation.

Not sure I know what a "limited" account means. Is there somewhere that I should check for a setting to answer the question?

I do have full access on the account, though it is using a different email login.

@GoodBits When you added your Teams account to 1Password for Mac, did you use the login that has those privileges? You can check by clicking the 1Password menu, then Preferences, then switching to the Teams tab and selecting your team. Your email address will be shown there. If you are signed in with that account, could you try switching to one of your Teams vaults and creating an item? Let me know how that goes.

Yes to all of the above including switching and creating a new entry.

Unsure what had happened but it seems to now be activated. You may close this case.

That's great news, I'm glad it's working correctly now! :) Hopefully it all continues to work well for you, but if you run into any trouble or have questions, please don't hesitate to let us know.
