Can I purchase either 1Password for iOS or for Mac and use the app in all three devices, iPad, MacBook and iMac. For example I currently use mSecure and have it installed on both my iPad and my iMac and can add new entries on either then sync to create a common set.

  • Hi @dhoro,

Thanks for taking the time to write in with this question. I'd be happy to help.

1Password for iOS is a free app, available on the Apple App Store. There is an optional in-app purchase for Pro features, if those are desired. The Pro features do not include licenses for any other platforms. They apply only to iOS.

1Password for Mac is available for sale both in our online web store and from the Mac App Store. If you wish to sync via iCloud you must purchase through the Mac App Store. If you'd like to sync via Dropbox or WiFi you can purchase directly from us. Again, this purchase is for Mac only. It does not include access to the iOS Pro features or license for any other platforms. You can use a single purchase of 1Password for Mac across multiple of your Macs however.

1Password for Mac and 1Password for iOS can sync in three different ways: Dropbox, iCloud (Mac App Store purchase required), or WiFi. You can read more about these options here:

Sync | 1Password for iOS guide

    I hope that helps!

  • @m0nsoon,

Thanks for the feedback. We do offer two options which include all of the supported platforms (* Windows is currently in beta). Those options are our 1Password Families and 1Password Teams subscriptions.

    Thanks!

If you purchased within the last 30 days then you may be eligible for a refund under our money back guarantee. Otherwise it is a separate offering and as such is sold separately from previous offerings. But if you are interested, and drop us an email to support@1password.com, we may be able to work something out. :)
