Only a fraction of items in my "Your Vault" sync to web UI

I use 1P for Teams (Mac, iPhone, iPad). On 1P Mac, I've moved all the items in my original vault ("Primary") into the "Your Vault" vault. I've confirmed that all categories are empty when I look at the "Primary" vault on my desktop. However, in the Web UI, only a fraction of my items appear. They appeared right away, but only a fraction of them are there.

On my iPhone, all the items are there, but some of them still appear in the original "Primary" vault, while others are appearing in "Your Vault."

Is there a way I can force the Web and iOS versions to resync so they match the desktop app?

  • Hi @boywithk9 ,

It sounds like there was an issue with syncing the items up to the server.

I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac. First, on your Mac, make a change to one of your items in "Your Vault" - it can be any change, such as adding a note to an item, or changing the title slightly. Then Save. After that, follow the instructions here to make a support report:

    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/mac.html

Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

    Regards,
    Kevin

Done. Another detail to note is that when I was trying to resolve the issue, I deleted all items from all vaults, emptied the trash, and then restored from a backup. I then repeated the process of moving all items from the Primary Vault to Your Vault, and exactly the same thing happened. Exactly the same items successfully appeared in the Team Web UI, which are only a fraction of the items that appear in Your Vault in the desktop UI.

    Thanks

  • Hi @boywithk9,

Odds are that you were running into the same issue as others where the Teams server was rejecting the items. You can look through the items, and those that were rejected will show up with "Rejected by server" on them, along with a number. We're in the process of solving that two ways. The server portion is already out and if you retry there's a good possibility that it'll work correctly. Then we've fixed how things work in the Mac app itself and are releasing a new beta shortly that has that fix.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes, the missing items say "Rejected by Server 100" on 1P. So you're saying the upcoming beta will trigger the missing items to sync to the server and I won't need to restore from a backup?

I did just try moving all items back to the Primary vault and then to Your Vault, but most items are still getting the Rejected by Server 100 message. So the server fix you mentioned doesn't seem to have fixed it in my case.

  • You're right, the server fix doesn't seem to have fixed the problem entirely. We're looking into that part.

In the mean time, use the 1Password > Check for Updates... menu item, and it should present you with a new Beta that should work around the server issue entirely.

The update fixed the issue for the most part. Items in the trash, however, are still stuck there and can't be deleted. They show "Rejected by Server 104."

  • Hi @boywithk9,

Can you follow the instructions on this page to create a Diagnostics Report? Email it to rick@agilebits.com. I'll be looking at this more closely on monday.
