Wi-Fi sync not working, and how to convert to Apple store version?

Hi,
I purchased 1Pw on Dec 8 through your web store on my MacBook (10.10.5) , and today was trying to setup the sync on my iPad (latest version of iOS). I've already set up a vault on my laptop and wanted to share it with my iOS devices.
1. I installed 1Pw from the App store on my iPad.
2. When I opened the app, I chose "Sync existing vault" and "Sync using Wi-Fi"
3. Both my laptop and iPad are on my home internet wi-fi, however nothing is showing.
4. My questions:
a. Any help as to why this is happening? Do I have to create a separate "home network" to sync using Wi-Fi?
b. If I am traveling a lot, and may be carrying my devices separately (iPhone, iPad, laptop) what is the best way to maintain the sync? (I don't have a Dropbox acct and prefer not to use them)
c. If item b will work best by iCloud sync, am I able to receive a refund for the web store version so i can buy it through the App Store?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi @kmoreira

Thanks for taking the time to write in. There is currently an unfortunate bug that affects all of our sync methods. The solution for each sync method is a little different, but is outlined here:

Known vault sync issues in 1Password for iOS

So, that is the answer to question A. As for questions B & C, either iCloud or Dropbox may be better solutions for your situation. Since your purchase was within the last 30 days we can process a refund on your purchase from us so that you can purchase from the Mac App Store (note for anyone else reading: we cannot refund purchases from the Mac App Store at any point).

Please let me know if you'd like to proceed with the refund.
