How do I sync my iPhone with my Mac laptop's data on 1Password?
I've got 1Password 5 on both my iPhone 6S and my MacBook Pro. But if I change a password on my MacBook it doesn't get corrected on the iPhone. What do I need to do? Also, I bought the 1Password for my wife's computer, but we don't know how to sync it with mine.
1Password Version: 5.4.1
Extension Version: ???
OS Version: OS X 10.10.5
Sync Type: iCloud

Hi @DanielBWallace,
Thanks for taking the time to write in. You can read about your sync options here:
Sync | 1Password for iOS guide
Please let me know if you have any further questions. :)

I have about 100 fewer items on my iPhone and they are not up to date, even though the 1Password says that it has synced via iCloud. I wrote to you before and you sent me an article. It didn't help.

Hi @DanielBWallace,
As your previous enquiry was still open I've merged your new post with it.
I see you're reporting that you're running 1Password 5.4.1. Now that version is only available from our site meaning you're running the AgileBits Store version of 1Password for Mac. I also see you have a 1Password 5 licence purchased from us.
I don't have good news for you I'm afraid. As of iCloud Drive, iOS 8 and Yosemite the AgileBits Store version of 1Password for Mac is unable to sync to iCloud. Apple started enforcing restrictions on iCloud with iCloud Drive meaning only apps or applications obtained via one of their stores can use the iCloud related frameworks. One of these frameworks in CloudKit which is what iCloud Sync now uses. We discuss this change on our page iCloud FAQs (starting with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite) as well as what options are available. Your best option would be to consider Dropbox which works everywhere although we do know some users aren't a fan of that particular cloud service. If you don't have strong feelings though every version of 1Password does work with Dropbox meaning you can use it to sync between the AgileBits Store version of 1Password for Mac and 1Password for iOS.

I've got a Dropbox account. I would have preferred the iCloud solution, but if it's not available because of Apple's skittishness, I'll do the DB. Thanks!

Indeed. Thanks for understanding! We're still hopeful that we'll be able to offer iCloud Sync in more places in the future, but in the mean time Dropbox is a great sync solution. :)
