2FA with Amazon and 1P

Is it possible to use 1P to generate a one-time password for each time I log into Amazon? I have gone through the steps but when I add One Time Password it wants me to scan a bar code but Amazon doesn't provide one. I have managed to do it with Dropbox but not Amazon. Sorry, I'm sure this is very obvious. Any ideas?

    Hi @iamecho,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble, but it is entirely understandable.

Amazon does not use the Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) standard that Dropbox and other services use. They require you to receive a text message, so their implementation is not compatible with 1Password or other third-party apps at this time. Perhaps if we all ask them nicely, they will add standard TOTP support in the future. :)

If we can be of further assistance, please let us know. We are always here to help.

    Cheers!

    Hi @iamecho,

On behalf of Khad, you're welcome! Sorry it wasn't better news, but at least that solves the mystery, and it wasn't anything you were doing wrong.

Hope you have a great weekend, as well! :)
