Vault password recovery
Cannot sync my 1Password vault on new iPhone because I cannot remember my vault password. Anyway to recover that? What other remedy?

Ben - Should have clarified further: it is not my Master password; that is not the problem. It is the 2nd stage password to my vault - I even had a password hint and can't for the life of me remember. Request for this password comes when I try to sync my Vault data to the new phone - message rec'd is: "Please unlock your 1Password data in Dropbox to continue" - should I contact Dropbox instead of agilebits? thanks.

Hi @frannypins,
Sorry for any confusion. That would be what we would call the "Master Password" for that vault. It could also be referred to as the "vault password." Most folks think of the Master Password for their Primary vault as the only Master Password, so that may be some terminology we should consider revising for the future.
Do you have the vault in question added on any other devices (a Mac, perhaps)?

Yes, on my Macpro.

Great. In that case you should be able to create a new empty vault (instructions), and then copy all of your items from the vault you can't remember the password for to the new one (instructions). Then try syncing with that new vault. :)
