Hi, I am getting constant do-overs on my iPhone lately. I may need to upgrade. Also other devices?

I have not checked in for some time. Now my iPhone can never get to a password the first time, so it may be time to hunker down and upgrade for the iOS. And I never did coordinate these across to iPad and MacBook. Can you take a peak at all of that and recommend a course of action? Much thanks!

@rwoodruff: I'm sorry for the confusion! 1Password touch/Pro version 3 was discontinued and removed fro the App Store years ago, so it hasn't been and won't be receiving any updates. However, 1Password 6 is available for iOS 9. It's a free download (http://1pw.ca/1PAScs — with an in-app purchase if you want Pro Features — https://support.1password.com/pro-features-faq/). And you can follow this guide to migrate your data from the old app:

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions! :)

Thanks! I figured I was behind a bit. Two questions for you. First, is there a guide to backing up my data before upgrading? and second, is there a cheat sheet of features on free vs. Pro features? Thanks!

  • @rwoodruff On behalf of brenty, you're welcome. To answer your follow-up questions, there is indeed a guide for backing up your iOS device:

Creating and restoring 1Password backups in iTunes (iOS)

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "cheat sheet". The article brenty linked to has a What are the Pro Features and how do I unlock them? section that details what's included with the Pro features. If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know.

OK, Thanks. My bad for not looking first. And my thanks to all for the information. I have asked for licenses, and have been sent some information. However it is a bit confusing. Although I never upgraded to 4 or 5, I beleive I paid for one of them. And I thought I paid for licenses so I could run the program on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. Is there some way to dig deeper into the licensing issue - it appears that if I paid for 4 or 5, I can get the new Pro version for free. Much thanks (again).

@rwoodruff: To be clear, we don't have your licenses for 1Password for iOS because such a thing does not exist. App Store purchases are tied to your Apple ID.

We also don't have any information on your App Store purchases, as that's owned and operated by Apple. However, you'll have received an email receipt any time you purchased 1Password, regardless of where it was purchased. Be sure to check your records, as that will give you some insight into the Apple ID used and the version you paid for.

And in the case of the AgileBits Store, we definitely have a record of that. I've resent your license information via email, so be sure to verify that you've received it. You can follow the instructions there to install and register the app on your Mac. I hope this helps! :)
