1password is not filling in the username or password for my Apple ID login. This is occurring on both Safari and the 1browser.

  • Hi @robersonclr! I merged your threads to keep things organized. :)

What happens when you try to use the 1Password extension to fill the fields in Safari?

1password is not filling in the username or password for my Apple ID login. This is occurring on both Safari and the 1browser.

Where did you originally save the Login for your Apple ID? I'd suggest saving a new one manually. Let us know if that fill properly.

Q1-Nothing happens. The fields do not populate with the username and password.
Q2-Where did I originally save? Do you mean the desktop versus the mobile app?

  • @robersonclr I meant what page did you save the Login on? That could provide a hint as to what may be happening. Also, could you check the Apple ID item's website field to make sure it has the link you need to sign in on, or uses the same domain (i.e. apple.com)?

I am also noticing more and more that 1P on iOS fills less and less websites reliably - it used to be great but now it's 50/50 whether it will fill a password or enter credit card details for you.

I noticed just now it doesn't work on shavers.co.uk to fill credit card details, I recall it doesn't fill passwords on PayPal anymore - it's getting bad enough that I wish you had an easy way built into the app to report these failures (I was also going to complain about making it easier to fill in manually - but it just occurred to me that the new ios9 split screen view will at least help on an iPad so you can copy and past multiple fields a bit more easily).

I do hope your intent is to continue to support more sites.

  • Hi @365nice,

Part of the difficulty is that websites will often change their login forms as part of a re-design, and this may break existing login items. In cases like this saving a new login will often aleviate the difficulty:

Create a new Login item in Safari | 1Password for iOS

For sure I'm able to fill my credentials into PayPal using 1Password, and do so regularly. So it may just need a re-save.

This would be a good first step in troubleshooting a login difficulty. Unfortunately that doesn't help wil credit card or identity filling.
