I am not getting password hint even after 3 tries of failed logins in both iOs and Windows device

I cannot login to 1password with my master password. I tried it on my ipad iOS 9.2 and on my laptop Windows 8. I am not getting any password hint so I can access my vault. I am worried because I am certain of my master password and I now worry about the security and integrity of 1password. Could my account have been hacked?

How do I login to accounts where I used 1password to change the password when I can't get into my 1password account?

Hi @theresaem,

Thanks for taking the time to write in. It looks like you've already reviewed all of the relevant "forgot Master Password" guides, so as you know the only way into your vault is by correctly entering the Master Password. There is no way for us to reset the password or otherwise access the vault.

That said, one other possibility if you believe the Master Password may have changed, would be to restore from a backup prior to the change (at a point in time you know you were able to login). You can find instructions for that here:

I would recommend making a fresh backup first, prior to restoring an older one.
