Sync with Dropbox, as advised by Agile Bits.
I have all my credit card and passport info in 1Password, so want to make sure it's well backed-up in case my phone gets stolen etc. Do I need to do a separate back-up to iTunes, iCloud etc, or is the Dropbox sync sufficient?
If I do need to do another backup (I saw a msg on the msg center on my phone telling me I needed to do an iTunes backup), how do I do that without messing up Dropbox?

1Password Version: 5.4.1

@Myname on the basis you can never have too many backups I'd recommend that you make a specific 1P for iOS backup using iTunes before you leave. Although Dropbox is a sync service for 1Password (as opposed to a backup service) it should help in respect of saving additional items you create while travelling.

If your phone is stolen while travelling, for example, you should be able to use your Dropbox data when you install 1Password on a new phone. However, note that it's critical you're able to remember your Dropbox password and 1Password master password in order to do that (which is probably a case for using the secure pass phrases supported by 1P6 for iOS and 1P6 for Mac...because they're easier to remember).

  • Good morning @Myname. Yep, Mr. C nailed it. Just follow the instructions that he linked to from our support site and you should be good to go. These backups are completely independent from Dropbox and won't interfere with your sync setup at all.
