Software update on my iPhone

My iMac was automatically updated to v6 but can't see how to update my iPhone from v5 to 6.
I will shortly be getting an iPad and wonder if I can install 1P on that so that it syncs with my other two devices.

Do you really require all these version numbers ?
My iMac is now v6 and my iPhone is stuck on v5

Sorry for all the version numbers; unfortunately they are a necessary evil. What version of iOS do you have on your iPhone?

Find the software version on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If you're using iOS 8 then yes, you'd be stuck on 1Password 5 for iOS. You'd need to upgrade to iOS 9 to get 1Password 6 for iOS.

That said you can sync 1Password 6 for iOS (which'll be on the new iPad if you install it) with 1Password 5 for iOS on the iPhone over Dropbox.

Ben, Thank you for the information. My iPhone version is 9.2 but it would appear that it is now at V6 ? I have installed 1P on my iPad and synced it with Dropbox and all now seems to be in good working order. Thanks again for your help and I'm impressed with you speedy response.
