1Password Mini unresponsive after using keyboard shortcut in Chrome incognito window

If I open an Incognito window in Chrome, then hit Cmd+\ out of habit (which used to launch the 1Password mini search interface, but that stopped working a couple of weeks ago, which I'm OK with), the 1Password mini icon in the menu bar stays highlighted as if I have the menu open and is unresponsive to me going up to click it to do a search until I go back into a regular Chrome window. I don't need to invoke another search, I just need to get out of the Incognito window.

To reproduce:
Open Chrome normally (I'm running 47.0.2526.11).
Open an Incognito window (Cmd+Shift+N).
Press Cmd+\
Try to click on the 1Password Mini icon in the menu bar. Note that it is unresponsive.
Close the Incognito window you opened, or merely give a non-Incognito Chrome window focus. Note that 1Password mini is now responsive.

I would like for Cmd+\ to go back to opening 1Password mini with no autofill if I'm in an incognito window, but I understand if that behavior is undesirable for consistency's sake - however, I think 1Password mini becoming unresponsive can't be by design.

Actually on further investigation, you don't even need to initiate a search. Just open an Incognito window and try to open the 1Password mini while it has focus - it will not open.

    Hi @gergles,

I've been unable to reproduce this oddity in my tests just now. Could you try rebooting your Mac and see if that makes any difference please. Sometimes small quirky behaviour disappears with a reboot and the cause is unlikely to ever be discovered. Of course if it doesn't help we'll continue digging but the good news is Incognito windows should have any impact on the ability of 1Password to work.

I am assuming you enabled the 1Password Chrome extension to work in incognito windows but if you regularly use these windows that seems a fair assumption to make. We'll wait to hear back from you and take it from there
