If I use the Beta for my Surface Pro, regular for my iPad, iPhone 6,iPhone 5, and Mac will they all sync, and how will they sync. Do I have to use drop box? What makes it sync across platforms? Do I use the same user name and passwords from each device? I would like to start using this but I am still confused about the syncing across platforms, especially when one device uses the beta version and everything else uses is using the actual final release. Can you please clarify for me? Thank you.

Hi @bmaloof,

Yes, for syncing across iOS, Mac and Surface, you can use Dropbox to sync.

Essentially the mechanism for this is that a file is saved into your Dropbox account, and each device logs into that account and syncs changes to it.

As for the beta, that should not be a problem.

Thanks Nathanvf--appreciate the timely response. So does this mean that I do or do not need the Beta on my Surface Pro--is it sufficient to have just Drop Box--Pros and Cons of each please? Thanks very much.

You'll need the 1Password app on the Surface, yes. Without it you won't be able to access the 1Password data stored in Dropbox.
