Update not loading

I hit the update button and it only loads about 35% then quits leaving me with no access to 1password. It says "loading" under the icon but nothing I do opens it or gets it to finish loading. Help!! All my passwords are in there and I can't get to them!!!

    @alicemcg - When something like this happens to me, restarting my ios device usually fixes it. Have you tried restarting you device?

    tried restarting, no change, still stopped at 35%. Tried hitting the update button again. The little circle fills all the way around, but the icon never goes past 35%. I have been working on this all day. sometimes over and over , sometimes waiting long periods of time.

    Hi @alicemcg,

    I am really sorry that you are experiencing this when trying to update your copy of 1Password for iOS. Obviously we don't want anyone to experience this kind of behaviour when they simply want to update their copy of 1Password.

    Unfortunately though, we can only sell the iOS version through the Apple App Store. And that means that Apple controls the entire mechanism for downloading and updating software (among other things).

    I would say in my own experience that @hawkmoth's suggestion is accurate. Sometimes the updates don't seem to complete and you need to reboot your phone.

    Keep in mind that the app is 75MB in size, so having a good wifi connection would probably improve your experience in updating.

    If it consistently doesn't work out you can maybe download it in iTunes and sync the update to your device.
