Difficulty merging iPhone & Mac vaults via Dropbox

I have 1Pass on an iPhone and also on a Mac. I want to synch them with Dropbox, but the two vaults have a discrepancy. I backed them up and want to merge them, but when I try, it prompts me with:

"Please unlock 1Password.agilekeychain in Dropbox to continue"

I don't have a clue what it is asking me to do. Is this to be done on the Mac or on the iPhone? What password is being asked for?

1Password Version: 5.4.2
Extension Version: 4.5.2
OS Version: 10.11.2
Sync Type: Dropbox

  • Hi @Doofus,

Thanks for taking the time to write in. In order to merge the vault on your iOS device with the vault in Dropbox (from your Mac, presumably) you need to enter the Master Password for that vault. You'll enter this on the iOS device. This is likely the same Master Password that you use on your Mac.

If you're still having trouble, could you please take a screenshot of this. To include it in your reply, simply click the document button in the top of the comment field, and select the file you wish to share:

    Thanks!

Thanks for the prompt response. That worked. May I humbly suggest a more explicit prompt:

"To continue, please unlock 1Password.agilekeychain in Dropbox with your Mac Master Password."

  • Thanks, Jon. While it'd be nice if we could be more explicit there, we don't know what device / platform created the Agile Keychain (so language like "with your Mac Master Password" would not be universally true and isn't an assumption we can make).

I will pass the suggestion along to our development team though, maybe they can think of something I'm not thinking of. :)
