how to know if licence numb is still valid

hello. i just received my licence number by email from agile but i dont have any option to add it into my Preferences. When i click Add Licence it is looking for a file. Also says my licence has expired, but where can i see when it was bought and expired? confusing! thanks! xx

    @aalex your licence number is for 1P3, as opposed to 1P4 and later versions which use a licence file. This knowledge base article will help explain things:

    Hey @aalex! I did indeed find a license under the email address you used to sign up on these forums and it was for 1Password 3.
