unable to reinstall 1password for iOS even after using 'option-select' method'.

I accidentally deleted 1Password iOs v9.0.2 on my iPhone. Unlike previous the previous resolution, which is also the only recommended one I know of/have been able to find, the 'option-select' method has not worked.

Laptop has 1Password 4.4.3 as part of OS x 10.9.2

Can you help me please?

Thank you.

  • Hi George ( @geolake ),

I'd be happy to help with that. Unfortunately removing the 1Password app from an iOS device also removes all of 1Password's data from that device. I noticed you mentioned you also use 1Password on a Mac though, so hopefully you've been syncing your data right along and to get your data back on iOS we can sync it over from the Mac.

To get the app itself back please download it here:

1Password on the iTunes App Store

I'm not familiar with the "option-select" method.

Once reinstalled please see this guide on syncing:

    Sync | 1Password for iOS

    Thanks!

This unfortunately is not a solution for me.

Mac is running OS X 10.9.5 (not .2) with 1Password version 4.4.3 as shown in my original request for help.

Iphone is running iOS 9.2.1, which is good, but unfortunately the link you provided to the iTunes app store takes me to the page for purchasing 1Password v6.2.1, which will not run on my system.

And just to make this more fun, 1Password for iOS has disappeared from my list of purchased apps on the App Store.

    I have been using 1password since 2013.

Is it possible you might have the correct version of 1Password for iPhone that you might be able to email? I am at a loss here as to ho to remedy this.

Reply II re previous comment -- I am re-searching forums to see if I missed info that addresses my problem. Once in a while I forget that the world doesn't revolve around me and I must do some heavy lifting on my own.

    Thanks for your patience.

REPLY III Sunday evening 11:20pm CST - GOOD NEWS. After patiently searching through a voluminous number of back-up sets on Crashplan I found the 1Password .ipa app for my iPhone. 1Password 5.1.2.ipa --long story less long; crash plan didn't want to put it back where it belonged so I opened up ~ Library - iTunes-iTunes Media and dropped it in. Install took, fingerprint password worked, password shown on desktop version entered and iOS version opened, and everything _seems__to be workin' just fine.

So much ado about nothing. Thanks for your assistance.

  • George ( @geolake ),

I'm glad to hear you were able to find a solution. I am confused about your statement about 1Password 6.1.2 not being able to run on your iPhone though. What gives you the impression that it can't? You mentioned you have iOS 9, which is what v6 of 1Password requires.

    Please let me know. :)
