Items refuse to be moved to trash, trash refuses to be emptied... [fixed in 6.0.3.BETA-2]

I just found some huge inconsistencies when moving items between categories and the trash:

  1. Whenever I empty the trash, the items counter by the "Trash" label (in the left pane) won't disappear. If I go to the trash, the items are still there. I can copy their UUID, the restore button "seems" to work, but the item is not restored.
  2. When I drag & drop an item to the trash, it is not moved at all (in the UI). If I right click the item and "Move to Trash" it disappears as expected.
  3. No matter which method in point 2 I use to delete the item, the trash contents is not updated (remains empty), nor the items counter in the left pane. If I move to some random category and back where the original item was, the item is still there. Selecting the item shows the "Restore" button. Clicking the restore button actually restores the item (which, despite what it looks like, is in the trash).
  4. When the trash contains some items, the "Restore" button does not move the item out of the trash (i.e. same as point 3, but the other way around).
  5. All this weirdness gets fixed if I switch to another vault and back. All items are shown where they belong.
  6. Not related to the trash, but with this UI weirdness: when I create a new item it is not added to the items list. point 5 fixes the issue as well.

Regards

    Hi @juanii,

It sounds like something has become damaged as this is all very unusual behaviour that you're seeing.

I would like you to create a Diagnostic Report please. This guide will assist.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums

The email address you will want to use is support+forum@agilebits.com.

When sending the diagnostic report to the address above it would help immensely if you could include a link to this thread and your forum handle so we can connect the two.

Once you've sent the report a post here with the ticket ID will help us to keep an eye out for it. With access to the report we should be able to better assist you

The ID for the diagnostic report is #MIK-12282-928. As I mentioned in this thread about another weird issue, I think this started right after updating to OS X 10.11.3. Another unusual thing I've noticed is that the "Enable OPVault for Dropbox and Folder sync" is enabled, but I never voluntarily enabled it.

    Hi @juanii ,

That setting is fine. The new default is to use the newer OPVault format when setting up sync. This is just for future, it has not changed your existing sync data in any way.

    Thanks for letting us know.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

Probably you've already read it here but again, all of these problems disappeared in the beta build. Thank you for fixing them.

    Regards.

Thanks for the update! I'm also happy with the progress we've been making with squashing some bugs and improving performance. Be sure to let us know if you run into any other issues! :)
