Duplication with iOS 1Password 6

I sync by Dropbox. As far as I know, prior to version 6 I had no issues with syncing and duplicates. When I installed iOS 1 Password, it kept crashing on my iPhone. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and selected my Dropbox keychains and after the syncing everything seems duplicated. I use 2 vaults one active and one archive. Even the total of both of the items before is less than the total items I have now. A good test, driver's license numbers were I know only in active. There are no duplicate entries of all of them.

  • Hi @stevenind

Thanks for taking the time to write in. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. If you select an item in 1Password for iOS at the very bottom of the item details it'll show you which vault the item is contained within. Do the duplicates show as being in the same vault as the originals?

    Please let me know.

One is in the archive vault and the other is the active vault. But, unless I am going crazy, haha no jokes here, I only put inactive logins in the archive vault. If it was just a dozen items, I'd think it was just an error on my part, but this is with 100s of items. It seems as if what happened is that all the actives got copied to the archive vault. Which thankfully is a better error, because I can just ignore the archive one for now. Just wondering what happened? Thanks for your help. Steve

  • Steve,

I agree with your assessment. It sounds like somewhere along the way the primary vault got synced into the archive vault. As you say you can probably simply ignore this. If you'd like to remove that vault from the All Vaults view you can do so in Settings > Vaults > All Vaults.

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

    Ben
