Flickering & constant sync- and resync ( ios & osx and dropbox )
I am having an issue similar to this: https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/25279/2-bugs-flickering-and-sync-keeps-er-unsyncing
I am using 1password 6.2.1 on iphone 6 with iOS 9.2.1 (no jailbreak)
also 1password 6.0.1 on OS X. Both are synced with Dropbox.
Dropbox on OSX is configured to show a notification when a sync happens.
As soon as I open the IOS app, dropbox starts syncing over and over until the app is closed.
Also when I search for a record in the app ( for instance "goog" to search for google ) all icons start flickering and scrolling up and down.
I reinstalled the IOS app without success.
The OSX App works just fine. I will generate a log on the phone and mail it to you with a link to this thread.
1Password Version: 6.2.1 iOS / 6.0.1 OSX
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: IOS 9.2.1 / OSX 10.11.2
Sync Type: dropbox

Hi @jor1337,
Thanks for taking the time to write in. Did you end up sending a diagnostic report from your iPhone? If so did you get a support ID back from BitBot? I didn't see any emails in our inbox from the email address you have registered here on the forums.
Additionally, could you please also send in a report from your Mac?

Yes, different address though.

Thanks @bwoodruff.
Will try to send the OSX log as well.
The OSX App does not create the sync-/resync issue.(at least not visible to me) Dropbox stays silent when I use the osx app.0 -
This is also something that I'm experiencing from my iOS devices (not the Mac). I've sent in a report and I've included screen captures with passwords of course hidden in the email that I sent. Many thanks. Stephen.

Hi, there
Yes, I have an iPhone and an iPad in addition to the iMac. All report the same 'All Items', 'Logins', 'Secure Notes' etc. figures. So, in that respect they are correctly syncing. However, with all running there has been syncing for over 10 minutes so it's clear that there is a conflict somewhere that seems perpetual.
If the Mac 1Password is solely running there doesn't seem to be perpetual syncing occurring.
If the iPad 1Password is running there seems to be perpetual syncing occurring.
If the iPhone 1Password is running there seems to be perpetual syncing occurring. Many thanks
Stephen

I can share what helped for me - but please be aware that as I am not a member of agilebits:
I'm not responsible for any damage to your 1password vault/keys. So make backups!!!Basically what helped for me, was removing the dropbox files completely and let 1password create a new vault.
You need to decide which of your systems holds the most accurate information, if you changed anything just recently.
For me, the Mac OSX 1password had the most up-to-date information. So I started there. It might be different for you!Remember to make a backup of the vault on your Mac. Just in case.
- Open 1Password on your Mac, goto Preferences -> then Sync
- Disable sync for your vault on your Mac, you can do that by clicking the dropdown and choosing None
- Uninstall the app from all your IOS Devices.
Next, go to your Dropbox folder on your Mac, you'll want to find the agilekeychain file, which is usually located here:
dropbox/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain
So go to your Dropbox folder, then the 1Password folder, then you should find the file.MOVE this file to your Desktop. So that there is no longer any 1password information in your dropbox.
(Dont worry, your running OSX 1 Password app will still have your informations & keys.)Dropbox needs a while to sync that move. Let that change fully sync on Dropbox - so wait untill it is done. (Spinning dropbox icon)
Now we want 1password on the mac to create a new vault on dropbox from scratch:
So go back to 1Password and re-enable sync for Dropbox.
( you dont need the file on your desktop, leave it there for backup purposes)
Let this complete as well. Might take a bit.
It will probably create the keychain in another folder. For me it was dropbox/APPS/1Password/....Now you have a brand new vault with your old information in it on dropbox.
Reinstall the app on your ios devices and set it up again. Remember, the path may be different than before. You can look it up on the Mac's sync pane in Preferences, that should help you locate it more easily.
Worked for me. Still, be careful what you do, this is an unofficial guide from me.

Hi! I have exactly the same flickering and forever syncing issue.
I've just tried what @bottleneck suggested, but it did not work for me.
Anyway... it seems clear we have a common bug here. Thanks!1Password Version: 6.2.1 iOS / 4.6.0.598 Windows 8
OS Version: IOS 9.2.10 -
@opiu I suggest you send a diagnostic report from your mobile device then, it will generate a case number that you can use to follow this up 1:1 with support
//EDIT @opiu : IOS-Diagnostic report can be found under 1password -> advanced -> (then scroll down) -> diagnostics
Under "log settings" I would recommend to tick the line for "dropbox", before you sent it, so that dropbox sync-information is added to the report.
(IF you are using dropbox to sync, of course....my guide was also just for that case!)-> then "send diagnostics", which will open your mail app.
You can check the logfile before it is sent as well, as it is just an email. Nothing strictly confidential in there.
