Did I over purchase?

Newb here. I purchased a license for my iphone, and then a separate one for my desk top before I learned (I think!) that one license would have covered all my devices. Is that correct? If so, can you please tell me how to get the application from my desk top to run on my lap top as well? I purchased both through the iTunes store. (for both the iphone and the desktop, separate purchases). I've tried to access the program on my lap top and can't seem to download it from iTunes apps to my hard drive.
And if I only needed one license, is there any way to get a refund for the second one, or give it to my husband, or???

    Hi leetrask,

    The iOS version and Mac version are sold separately. However, the single Mac license can be used on all your Macs, just as the single iOS license can be used on all your iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, etc...).

    On your Mac, you will need to use the Mac App Store (accessed through the Apple Menu > App Store...) to restore your purchase. You can also purchase directly through our website.

    I may be reading your post incorrectly, but it sounds like you purchased the iOS version twice?? I don't see how that is possible unless you used different Apple ID's for each purchase.

    I checked my apple account, and it seems like there is only one charge there for a single purchase, so you are right.
    I have it up and running on both the iOS and the OX, so all is well. Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it.
