Keys and lost devices
I lost my iPad a while back, and it may or may not have had the 1Password client on it. I've read the page regarding how 1Password syncs master passwords, but I still have a question. It appears from that document that even if I change my master password on one of my devices, that whomever has the missing iPad will still be able to log in if he/she guesses the old master password. Is that correct? Thanks.

@rogerl: Yes. Anyone who knows your Master Password (and also has access to your data) will be able to unlock the app, which is why it's always important to use a long, strong, unique Master Password.
However, in the case of syncing, if you were to change the Master Password on one device, they were to unlock it successfully on the other, and 1Password finishes syncing,1Password will then require the new Master Password. It isn't a chance I would want to rely on, but it does offer a possibility. And keep in mind that simply using a device passcode and enabling 'erase after 10 attempts' is a great security feature that Apple offers at the hardware level.

Yes, your data would be stored both on the iPad and on Dropbox in that case (as well as on any other devices where you sync).
As an extra precaution you may want to see if you are able to remotely erase the device:
iCloud: Erase your device
I hope that helps!

Thanks for the suggestion. I had registered it with Find My iPhone the day it was lost and put it into Lost Mode. So it should have come up with a lock on it, I think, and when it came up (yesterday, 8 months after I lost it), I set it to auto-erase if it comes on line again.
