Vault Names
Went to set up a second vault to separate my personal passwords from the ones I use for my business and couldn't find a way to name them.
Anyone know if you can give a vault a name? Don't see it as an option when setting up Dropbox or iCloud.

Hi @Riptide360,
welcome to the 1Password forums!
You can enter a vaults name during its creation. As new vaults that are not already in Dropbox can't be set up on iOS at the moment you probably created your second vault on the Mac - is that correct? Unfortunately there is currently no way to change a vaults name.
We've been discussing adding the ability to change vault names and were wondering what users like you think about having the new vault name not synced. Would you mind having to change the vault name on all devices using this vault? We are very interested in hearing about your thoughts on this.

Hi Winnie,
Thanks for the detailed info. Yes you are correct, I created the Vault on the Mac side.
Given the limitations around creating vaults (Mac only) and inability to rename them currently I think it would be good to lump this feature request in a future major release where it can be addressed in all apps. It would definitely be confusing to not have vault names sync across devices. I think many folks would like to use Work vs Personal and having that appear as Vault 2 and Vault 1 would lead to a lot of confusion and possible security compromises.
I hope you'll consider having the dev team work on a UX workflow update. I find that the current workflow more difficult than msecure. If you could add options to "reveal" password it would help for those of us not actively using the Safari and Chrome plugins. If you could make the templates more compact and friendly, with a section for notes on by default it would allow quicker creation. Having the EDIT button and then having to hit the SAVE button (all the way down in the lower right corner for Mac) makes quickly creating new passwords a pain. Having update existing without any ability to see further content makes it difficult to know if I should update it automatically or manually update it (would be nice to see how it is and show what you are adding/chagning in colored text).
Thanks for a great product - it was mentioned in Marc Goodman's Future Crimes book at the end as a tip on how to protect your passwords. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the kind words and feedback, @Riptide360. This is definitely an area in which we'd like to improve. :)

I came here to post a similar question...on iOS, I have my primary Vault which is Dropbox-sync'd, originally from Mac. However, I also sync three other vaults from Dropbox...one of them is a manually created secondary from my son's Windows computer for us to share. The other is his primary vault created at 1Password setup on Windows. The third is my mom's primary Windows 1Password vault. These last two are named "default 2" and "default 3" in the order they were added to iOS. It would be great if I could edit these names (I don't care if the names sync necessarily) so I can tell which is which on my iPhone. I don't sync these additional vaults on the Mac so I don't know if the naming issue carries over there.

Thanks @dszp. The "default N" naming is a known issue with vaults created on Windows and synced to iOS. It does not appear to affect vaults created on Mac. Until we can get this fixed up the only workaround I'm aware of is to move/copy all of the items into a new vault that you create in 1Password for Mac, and then sync that new vault instead.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
