I typically just get on here and complain, or file bugs, and generally just make more work for you all. ;) But now for something a little different.

All the way back in April I threw some suggestions into the mix for changes I would like to see to the iOS app.

Here's a recap:

  • You should be able to select vaults from the tab bar - It's in the title bar, but DONE!
  • You should be able to search across vaults - DONE!
  • Tabs at the bottom should be customizable (a la Tweetbot) - not done and although I never use the browser or "Organize", there's nothing else to really put down there right now... so DONE!
  • The settings icon should show that the sync is in progress so that I don't have to tap into it to see - Still needs done. This would be awesome
  • The ability to decide what the default tab is (I want "Categories" and not "Favorites") - DONE! (It remembers the last tab you were on which is even better!)
  • Not showing the last item's details as the "placeholder" graphic when the app is reloaded - DONE! (This has been fixed!)
  • Search should be shown on every tab - DONE!
  • Search field is not focused by default - Not done (but the rationale for not having this be the default is sound (the keyboard would have to be visible which takes up too much space... soooo DONE! :)
  • Clearing the search field deselects the text field - DOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! (This was the most annoying thing ever. Now there's an "x" to delete and a "Clear" to clear and deselect.

    I'm so glad to hear you're happy with the direction we've been moving. Thank you so much for taking the time to write in with these kind words! We very much value customer feedback, and that is where most of the changes you mentioned were born from. Of course we cannot implement everything everyone wants, as if we were to do so the product would become unweildly and unfocused, but we really do listen and consider every request that comes in. It is great to hear that it is paying off. :)
