Cannot get 1 Password 6 to import 1 Password 3 data on iOS

A little background. I have been using 1 Password 3 on iPhone 5s, iMac , Macbook Air happily for years. All running latest versions of OS. Finally decided to bite the bullet and upgrade. I installed 1 Pass 6 on both iMac and Mac Air with minimal stress from Agile Bits site, they seem to be working just fine. Then went to iPhone App store and purchased 1Password 6 Pro. Followed the instructions on the Agile website to the letter to transfer data from 1 Pass 3(v3.7.2) to newer version and NOTHING transfers despite multiple attempts. If I open 1Pass3 it always offers to import my data to new app, I say yes import and it then I open the new version and nothing is there. I am so frustrated . I am not a techie but I'm not incompetent either. It shouldn't be this hard. And no human tech support by phone is annoying too. I am frustrated. Help!

I'm sorry for the frustration. If you already have all of your data in 1Password 6 for Mac there is no need to go through the data migration with 1Password 3 for iOS. You can instead set up syncing from 1Password 6 for Mac to 1Password 6 for iOS:

Sorry for the confusion. The migration process for 1Password 3 to 1Password 6 for iOS is a bit of a pain point at the moment and our development team is taking a close look at how we can improve it. But if your data is already in 1Password for Mac you should be able to avoid it altogether.

Thank you for your reply. Yes all my data is available in 1 Password for Mac on my iMac but I'm unclear on how I can avoid this problem as you say. Can I somehow import my data directly from 1 password for Mac to my iPhone rather than trying to get it from the 1 Pass 3 app on my phone?

Yes, you can do that by syncing. :) The instructions for doing so are available at the link in my above post. If you run into any trouble please let us know.

OK Ben, thank you, that worked. I now have all my data in 1 Pass 6 on my phone. I take it it is now safe to delete the original 1Password 3 app from my phone yes ?

If all of your data is available in 1Password 6 then yes, you can safely remove v3 from your devices. :)
