Unlock PC/Mac when 1Password on iPhone?
Hello,
I am wondering if it would be possible to add a feature to the 1Password app on the iPhone/Apple Watch that would allow it to unlock a PC or a Mac with a simple tap after verifying proximity/etc.
Thinking of workflow, I'd like to PC and Mac to prompt me to unlock with a tap on the iPhone or Watch if I am close and when I walk away, to automatically lock up.
Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason ( @JasonD1 ),
Thanks for taking the time to write in. It is definitely an interesting idea. If we could find a way to do so securely I could see it being a huge time saver. Of course designing a product like 1Password is always a matter of balancing convenience and security, and it is important especially with a feature like this that we find the right balance.
We appreciate the suggestion. I've added your vote to our existing improvement request in our bug tracker. :)

Just want to tag on to this suggested feature. Prior to WWDC I started using MacID which does exactly this, allowing you to authenticate into your Mac using either the iPhone with touchID or Apple Watch. I was surprised at how quickly I got attached to the use of proximity wake/sleep even though the app isn't completely consistent (I suspect not the app developers fault, but more about the communication with the mac). I quickly realised, though, that the more I used touch to wake my laptop the more frustrating it got every time I had to type in the master password for 1Password. Everytime the computer goes to sleep you need to re-enter, as it should be for good security. So I planned to suggest an integration between these two apps, or that 1Password could implement the functionality that MacID had used. Then whala! WWDC comes along and Apple announces proximity authentication. I'm sure you folks at 1Password will be on to it and taking advantage of the new features. I look forward to testing it out. Bring on the future where we don't have to remember passwords (our tools take care of it for us, and help us be even more secure).
