ios app reports no .agilekeychain, or .opvault... correct account, synched correctly, can see files in dropbox app on device. have added 1password to dropbox app list and given permission, still no dice.

  • Hi @rob_m1 ,

I'm sorry you are having an issue with Dropbox. We've seen this issue here as well.

We are aware of a sync issue with Dropbox. After setting up sync we've seen large delays for them to show up in 1Password. The issue is when 1Password asks Dropbox for the file list, it receives an older version of the list. Personally I've seen delays up to 30 minutes before it shows new files. Another colleague said they gave up after an hour but checked the next day and the files were there.

Can you try checking again to see if it is there now, after confirming they are still there in the Dropbox app.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

I've been dealing with an inability to log in to our team account. will revisit broken sync when I tire of that. So far 1password has proven to be a hot mess!

    Hi @rob_m1,

I'm sorry things haven't gone smoothly for you with 1Password so far! I hope you don't mind, but I've moved your discussion to our iOS forum, as it sounds like that's where you're running into trouble with Dropbox sync.

I wanted to clarify that, as far as we can tell, this does not seem to be a bug in 1Password - nothing has changed on our end with how 1Password interacts with Dropbox. In 1Password for iOS, we use the Dropbox API to tell us which files are in your Dropbox account, and for some users, it appears that API is taking much longer than usual to fetch the updated file list. In other words, when 1Password for iOS asks the Dropbox API for a list of any .agilekeychain or .opvault files in your Dropbox account, it's telling us there aren't any (even though there are). However, our developers are looking into this to make sure, and if it turns out to be an issue in the 1Password code, we will absolutely fix that. I just wanted to fill you in on what we've found so far, in case you're curious.

It's been a few hours since you first contacted us about this, so hopefully the Dropbox sync setup will work when you try it again. But please let us know how it goes, and if you're still having trouble with that, we'll see if there's something else we can do to help. Thanks! :)
