When a team member leaves, can you transfer their personal passwords to an admin account?

This option is common on Google Apps for Domains. A user leave and the admin will remove them from the organisation, decommissioning the account and transferring all "My Drive" documents to their manager. The manager, in turn, clears the personal mess, move important documents (in this case accounts) to the shared folders. and the organisation moves to recover from the loss.

In the case of 1Password, team members will sometimes start with an account to a certain SAAS provider (e.g. instagram account in marketing) and keep it in their personal folder. If they leave the organisation, need to retrieve the passwords of the individual and move some of the accounts into the shared vaults.

We're 130 people.

Looking forward

    Hey @taloron,

Yes, this is totally possible. If you have control over the user's email account on your team, you can start the recovery process on their account, set a new master password (which re-encrypts all the data with a new account key and master password), and you'll be able to log in to the account and move logins and passwords to other vaults. This is possible because the recovery administrators have backup decryption keys to the personal vaults (which themselves are encrypted with their own keys).

Let me know if you have any more questions.
