The switch to turn on the 1Password extension in Safari isn't appearing for me

I've set up my iPad Pro with 1Password. I've got two vaults set up and I go into Safari to turn on the extension. I go into More in the black and white icons, and 1Password doesn't appear in the list so that I can enable it. I'm running 9.2.1. Any idea what might be going on?

There are two rows of icons, and the 1PW icon appears in the lower row, after using More in that row. It's an easy thing to miss, many people just try More in the upper row. If that doesn't work for you, someone more knowledgeable about iOS will have to help.

    Hi @duetjohn,

thanks for buying the pro features - you rock :+1:

From your description it sounds like you tried to activate the Safari extension from the right row but could you please double check that you were trying to activate 1Password from the right row like @danco mentioned?

    Thanks

Definitely did the correct row. Could this be related to the WWDR certificate expiration. I now see on an existing device that the extension appears in the share sheet, but no longer in the list when I click More.

  • Hi @duetjohn,

Reading the information from apple regarding the WWDR certificate renewal it doesn't sound like that should have any effect, but if it does, restarting the device should resolve it.

Please let us know if restarting helps.

Restart didn't help. Can't explain why this no longer appears on any devices, even ones that have 1Password in the row of icons. At least those still offer it, even if I can't turn it on or off.

  • Agreed; it is strange. It still appears on both of my devices (both in the 'more' list and on the share sheet). I'd like to ask you to create some Diagnostics Reports, one from each of your devices.

    (iOS) Sending Diagnostics Reports

Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!
