I cannot get the app to sync between my devices

I have used the troubleshooting on the agilebits website, and on the apple iCloud FAQ. But, I cannot get the app to sync between my two devices.


1Password Version: 6.2.2
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 9.2.1
Sync Type: iCloud

    welcome to the 1Password forum :) I'll be happy yo help you set up sync between your devices.

    Could you first give me some more information? What is the other device you want to sync with? Is that device also running 1Password 6.2.2 for iOS?
    Could you also please check if both devices are signed in to the same Apple account?

    With the answers to these questions I will be better able to assist you.

    Thank Winnie,

    Both devices are suing 1Password 6.2.2. Each device is using a separate Apple account with Family Sharing turned on. The first device downloaded 1Password from the app store normally. The second device downloaded the 1Password app from App Store > Updates > Purchased > (The Shared Device) > 1Password. These are following the troubleshooting instructions on 1Password.

    iCloud can only sync CloudKit data (which is the iCloud API 1Password uses) between devices signed into the same Apple ID. This is an iCloud limitation. If you'd like to share data between devices using different Apple IDs you'll need to use Dropbox, or 1Password for Teams.
