Cannot attach to existing iCloud data

I have a mac mini and an iMac at my home sharing the same 1 password database via my iCloud. I have just purchased an iPhone and want it to share the same 1password cloud data. The phone is in the same house on the same wifi and iCloud is enabled as I'm able to update my calendar and contact info from one device to another. The 1password on the phone was just downloaded from the apple store a few days ago. The version of 1 password is 5.1 on the iMac. I'm assuming on the mac mini it's the same because I updated both recently to get them to talk to each other. I need help sorting out making the phone find my existing data.
