@federspielryan as your post relates to 1P for iOS I have moved the post from the 1Password for Mac forum to the 1P for iOS forum where you will get more help.

  • Hi @federspielryan

Thanks for taking the time to write in. 1Password 3 for iOS was retired in 2012. It has not (and will not be) updated for iOS 9 compatibility. To use 1Password on iOS 9 you'd need to upgrade to 1Password 6 for iOS.

Before we go any further, could you please tell me:

    • What devices you use 1Password on
    • What version of 1Password you have on each of those devices
    • What operating system version each of those devices has

That information will help in determining the best way forward.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for getting back to me.

    My lineup is as follows:

    iPhone 6; version 9.2.1
    1pwd; 3.7.2

    MacBook Air Laptop; version 10.7.5
    1pwd; 3.8.22

    iMac 24 Desktop; version 10.6.8
    1pwd; 3.8.18

    Thanks for you help!

  • Thanks Ryan. Unfortunately the age of the OS on the Macs is going to cause some trouble for you. You're mixing very old with new, and they don't really play well together.

To get 1Password to stop crashing on iOS you're going to need to upgrade to 1Password 6 for iOS:

1Password 6 for iOS on the iTunes App Store

Instructions for migrating your data can be found here:

How do I upgrade from 1Password 3 on iOS?

If you'd like to sync with your Macs you'll need to upgrade them as well. This would necessitate an upgrade to the operating system. If you need help with upgrading 1Password for Mac as well please let us know and we'd be happy to assist.

    Hi Ben,

I went through the instructions on upgrading from 1Password 3 on iOS from link above. All went smoothly but no data was transferred? I verified in help menu that version is 6.2.2. But when I go to categories section no data exists? Is there a different section where data should be?

  • Ryan,

No, that is where it should be. Hmm. I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from 1Password 6 on your iOS device:

    (iOS) Sending Diagnostics Reports

Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!
