Which Mac version MAS or Agilebits store?

I am considering subscribing to 1P for families. We are an Apple family (Macs and iPhones) with a lone holdout of my Windows 7 laptop for work.

On our Macs, which version of 1Password is required? We currently have the Mac App Store version installed. If they both work, is there some compelling reason to switch to the Agilebits store version?

    Hello, @rlobrecht!

    It doesn't matter which version of 1Password for Mac you have installed--as long as you're using 1Password 6, you'll be able to add your 1password account :) Here are the instructions for doing that:

    Sign in to your Team or Family account: Existing Installation

    The major difference in the Mac App Store version and the AgileBits Store version of the app is that sometimes the AgileBits Store version gets releases earlier, while we're still waiting for the review team at Apple to take a look at what we've submitted. Otherwise, they're pretty much the same!
