I have a MacBook Pro. My hard drive recently crashed and I had to have a new one installed.

I did not have a backup of my previous hard drive. How can I get my 1Password account and information back?

@signejane all your 1Password data is stored locally on your Mac unless you:

    • back it up; and/or
    • sync it to another device running 1Password; or
    • were using 1Password for Teams or 1Password for Families.

If you did none of those and you cannot now access the data on your old hard drive I'm afraid your 1Password data is irrecoverable. I'm sorry if that means I'm the bearer of bad news.

  • Hi @signejane! Aww, I'm sorry about that. :( Stephen's post has some good info on where your data might be. Did it help you find it, or were you not able to locate it?
