First of all, thanks for an amazing product! I've been using it for a little over a year now and it has revolutionized the way my wife and I deal with our passwords and we both feel so much more secure and organized (and we are!) :) Thank you for being awesome!

So far, we have used Vaults for shared passwords and synced via Dropbox. I'm really excited about giving 1Password for Families a shot...especially since I'm also using 1Password for Teams with my colleagues and we all love it!

I know this might sound like a silly "vanity" request, but our family name has has 4 letters and we have lots of other online service accounts with the URL xxxx.whateverservice.com. I know I could always use the URL https://family-xxxx.1password.com, but just for the sake of conformity I would just LOVE to be able to use https://xxxx.1password.com

But as of now, I get this error message when trying to set that family URL:
"Please enter 5 or more characters."

Is there any chance this might be lowered down to 4 letters? (or perhaps 3 letters, since lots of family names are also have 3 letters).

If there is a security or a technical reason this is set to 5 letters, then I totally understand. But if this can easily be changed, I would be so thankful and just thrilled!! :D

Thank you.

@abjarna Just read your post and thought I'd respond as my family name is only four characters in length and I am able to use https://xxxx.1password.com with no problem at all.

*** I stand corrected, sorry, I cannot log in without adding "team-" in front on my family name. Strange I have to write "team" when it is actually a family account.

    Thanks, @abjarna and @iamecho!

I don't know that this will change anytime soon, but there has been some discussion about it internally.

    Thanks for the feedback :)
