Inconsistency in French translation

The category for web site credentials is called "Identifiants" everywhere but on the "+" menu to add an item where it is called "Connexion". This is annoying and present in Mac, Windows and iOS versions of 1password (probably also on Android but I don't have an Android device).

  • Hi @koko2,

Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention! For our translations we use a tool called CrowdIn, which allows us to crowd source the task of translating 1Password. You can find the information on this here:

    https://crowdin.com/projects/roustem

If you have suggestions or corrections we'd greatly appreciate any contributions you make there. :)

Thanks for helping make 1Password even more awesome.

Did a suggestion on the translation of "Login" in Localizable.strings. Hope it will be accepted and quickly integrated.
Does this file contain translations for both OSX, Windows and iOS version?

  • @koko2,

Thanks for your efforts in helping us get things translated properly! We just did a pull from Crowdin for all approved strings into the latest beta, so it may be a little while before they are pulled again, but hopefully not too long. :)

OS X and iOS share translations, and the project for that is here:

    https://crowdin.com/project/1password-for-ios-and-osx

Windows uses a separate translation base and is here:

    https://crowdin.com/project/1password-for-windows-desktop

We also have a separate project for Android:

    https://crowdin.com/project/1password-4-for-android

    Thanks again!

    Ben

Added a change for windows version. I just found the string in a window title. I hope it is the same for the add item.

I have no Android device so I don't know if there is the same translation bug in this version. If someone can check...

  • Thanks for letting us know! :)
