Confused about "REVEAL". Defeats purpose of software and shared vault....

I accidently discovered that my team can simply click on 'REVEAL" and have access to my passwords. The entire point of using this software is so they can access what I want them to without knowing the actual passwords.

    Hi @StaciClarke,

The main purpose of 1Password for Teams is to be able to share information with team members, not so much for the team members to not know the actual password. However, there is an option on Teams that will let you (the admin) to deactivate the reveal button. Keep in mind that is is impossible, from a cryptography point of view to let someone use a password without being able to see it at all. Deactivating the Reveal button will make the password not immediately available, and will keep people from casually seeing it.
If what you want is to make sure a password doesn't get seen then you must not keep it on a shared vault. You can read more about the options for customising 1Password for temas here here: https://support.1password.com/teams-admin-getting-started/

I hope this information helps you! :chuffed:

Also keep in mind that (regardless of whether someone can physically view the password or not), someone with access to use the password could just as easily change it to something of their choosing. Secrets that are shared can't be unshared.. Concealing passwords is — quite literally — security through obscurity. :pirate:
