How do I backup my 1password4 data from my Mac to iCloud? Please help.

    Thanks for writing in with your question!

    Are you asking how to setup iCloud sync in 1Password on your Mac? 'Sync' and 'Backup' are two different features in 1Password. A backup is a file that exists strictly for recovery if needed, and 1Password automatically creates backups of your data that it stores locally on your Mac. You can find some more information about 1Password backups in the user guide here: Backup Preferences

    On the other hand, if you're asking how to use the iCloud sync feature (i.e. you want to sync your 1Password data with other Macs or iOS devices via your iCloud account), you can find steps to set that up here: Sync with iCloud

    Please note that the AgileBits Store version of 1Password 5 doesn't have the ability to sync with iCloud. If you're using a copy of 1Password 5 that you downloaded from our website, you'll need to install 1Password 6 (it's a free upgrade if you have a license for 1Password 4 or 5 for Mac). To do that, open the main 1Password app and go to the menu for 1Password 5 > Check for Updates. Follow the on-screen steps to install 1Password 6.
