Hello, I've tried all of the above and my 1password is still not working.
I have gone through all of the troubleshooting actions (moving 1password to applications and copying code into terminal) and I am still getting the same error message: 1Password failed to connect to 1Password mini, Please restart 1Password. If this does not help, please contact AgileBits support. When I typed the command into terminal it said no file found. Can you please help me retrieve my passwords?

Hi @jessica_hendrix ,
I'm sorry to read you're having trouble launching 1Password. I'm assuming this is the command you were typing:
xattr -d -r -s com.apple.quarantine /Applications/1Password\ 6.app
If it said file not found, it sounds like the 1Password application is not in your Applications folder. It is likely still in your Downloads folder. I recommend moving it to Applications, and then trying the command again. After that, try launching 1Password again and let us know if that helps.
To move it to Applications, open the folder where you've been double-clicking 1Password. Then choose
New Finder Window
from the File menu and click on Applications in the sidebar. Then drag 1Password 6 to that window. If you have further questions, or need further assistance, do not hesitate to reply. We'll do our best to get you up and running.

Hi Kevin, it is in my applications folder. Here is a screen shot.

Your screenshot, however, shows 1Password 5. You should be on 1Password 6 which, as Kevin says, may be in your Downloads folder.

Hi @jessica_hendrix ,
As danco mentioned, you should have 1Password 6 in there. Have a check in your Downloads folder and if you find it there, move it to your Applications folder (and then trash 1Password 5) and try that command again.
If you haven't upgraded to 1Password 6 (it's a free upgrade), you can try the command above, but substitute the 6 for a 5. However, we do recommend upgrading, and it may solve your issue.
Thanks,
Kevin0
