Update/Change a Document

Hi Guys,

Firstly, love the new Teams beta it's extremely helpful and works perfectly!

We're currently using the new document feature to store sensitive excel files. We'd like to be able to make changes to the file and save the new version over the top. Currently we have to open the original file, make the required changes, delete the item from the vault and create a new document item by dragging in the new file. This is a pain as we have to add the correct tags and update the fields in the item so we can locate the correct file again.

It would be great if you could either delete just the file so you can replace it, or drag the updated file on top of the original to be promoted if you'd like to replace it.

Has anyone else found a better way to do this?

Many thanks!

  • Hey @Darkclad

That is great to hear that you are loving the Teams beta!

The ability to securely store documents in 1Password for Teams is pretty awesome, but we have some work left to do in order to make the experience better. In-place editing of a document is a great example of that. I want that feature too as I update some of my documents fairly often.
