Latest version began auto update on iPad. It was grayed and ⅔ through the download but would not complete the job. Went to App Store to see if I could bring it down again but was surprised it was not listed among my purchases. Restarted the iPad but then the updating app was gone. Still did not appear in Purchases. Found 1Password in the App Store but hesitated to Get because I might be charged again. How do I avoid this and overcome my predicament? I understand from reading the discussions of others with a similar problem that once I have it on again and sych, all my data will reappear. Interestingly, my wife's identical iPad, linked to the same account, updated without issues.

Don't forget that 1PW for iOS in its basic form is free. So you won't be charged again.

If you made the in-app purchase, then you should be able to restore the purchase once you have the basic form.

Thanks. As simple as you advised. Once I found the app in Apple's App Store I downloaded then input my Master Password with some curiosity. To my surprise it opened. All my data was there as expected. Instantly and with no need to synchronize. How and why I cannot say. This is the first time I've had a problem with your product since I bought at first launch years ago. It is the most important app I own. Simply marvelous and I thank you!

  • Thanks for the update @murphs. For the future I'd highly recommend making the occasional backup of your data:

Creating and restoring 1Password backups in iTunes (iOS)
