Delete Primary/Dropbox vault
Hey there,
I'm switching to 1Password for Families and I want to know the best and safest way to get rid of my "Primary" vault which is synched with Dropbox. I won't use it anymore so if possible, I'd delete it. This is on my Mac but I'll also want to know how to do it on iOS.
I haven't found the answer in your awesome KBs by the way.
Thanks!

@maxaudet - You will find that starting over will help you eliminate seeing the Primary vault in the Mac application, but it will remain, even if its empty, on iOS, at least for the time being. You can control which vault you see, though, from the 1Passwrod Settings > Vaults menu. Towards the end of the page is an option to select which vault you see when 1Password opens. This is new for iOS, so be sure you are up-to-date.

Hi @maxaudet,
"Oh god" about sums it up. We need a better solution to that. I'm hoping to be able to tackle it on the Mac side soon, and since iOS and Mac share a good portion of code they should be able to make it happen there soon afterwards.
Sorry for the hassle.
Rick

I've tried this using 1Password6 but my primary vault and it's contents are still showing - and I have to use the password for the original vault to login to 1Password rather than my Family password.
Can someone please provide a solution that works which will remove the Primary vault, and allow me to access 1Password using my Family password.

Hi @Houdi,
As Rick mentions above, we're still working on a Families-only mode for the 1Password apps, I'll let our developers know that you're excited to see it as soon as possible. :)
In the meantime, if you'd like to only see your Families data when you open 1Password, you can customize your 'All Vaults' view to show only the Families vaults. (All Vaults can be customized in Preferences > All Vaults.) Please note that, for now, you will still use the password of your primary vault to unlock 1Password.
When the Families-only mode is ready, you'll definitely hear about it on our blog.
I hope this helps, but we're here if you have any further questions or concerns!
