Hi,
just playing with the new Family toy :) and just wonder: why not allow to make the default shared vault only readable to some specific member ?

And speaking more general why in a new vault don't allow a setup to allow the user setup to have full or read only access ?

    @face -

    And speaking more general why in a new vault don't allow a setup to allow the user setup to have full or read only access ?

    It now does. Go to the Admin Console, then click on the Vaults tab. Pick a vault you have created (not the default ones). YOu will see a gear icon. Click that and find the option to make a vault read only. This is set individually for each person having access to the vault, so some can be read-only, while others have full access.

    Like this:

    It is true that the default Shared Vault is accessible to every member of the Family. But no one says you have to put anything in it. Make another vault from which to share information on a selective basis.

    @face: Also, depending on the age, comfort level, or really any other criteria you could simply invite them as Guests, which would limit their access significantly (you can invite two to your Family). It sounds like that might be exactly what you want. :)

    Didn't know there was a limit of 2 guests per family. Thought that number was still to be determined?

    Hi @sdrel,

    I believe we have settled (for now, at least) on 2 Guests per Families account. And of course that's in addition to your Family Members, of which you can have 7 with no extra cost, thanks to the early adopter perks. :)
