I tried to sync my new Mac Mini to my iMac via a folder on USB drive, but seen items missing from the "Category" counts as shown below:

iMac Category counts
Credit Card (1)
Identities (4)
Bank Accounts (2)
Email Accounts (1)
Servers (1)
Software Licences (5)
Wireless Routers (2)

Mac Mini Category counts after sync
Credit Card (blank, no count)
Identities (blank, no count)
Bank Accounts missing (not shown)
Email Accounts missing (not shown)
Servers missing (not shown)
Software Licenses missing (not shown)
Wireless Routers missing (not shown)

What could be the problem?

1Password Version: 6.1 (610006)

    Hi @tena1pa,

Thanks for reaching out to us about this! To make sure I understand, do you mean your items are syncing correctly, but the item count is not shown for the categories on your Mac Mini?

If the problem is just that you don't see the item count next to each category, there's a setting for that - just go to the View menu and enable the option for 'Show Item Counts'. Each item category should then show the number of items.

Hopefully this helps, but if you have more questions or I misunderstood the problem, please let us know. Cheers! :)

Sorry for not being cleared in my previous post. What I should have said was that everything in "Logins" category synced up fine. Items in other categories as shown in my previous post did not. Some category name such as "Credit Card" was copied to the new machine but item in it did not. Other category names, such as "Bank Accounts" for example, was not even copied to the new system. I had a total of 143 items on my iMac but only 127 items got synced up to the Mac Mini, others I had to manually add as new items in the new system. Please look into this.
    Thanks

    Hi @tena1pa,

Thanks for the clarification! Sorry that I misunderstood the problem.

Some category name such as "Credit Card" was copied to the new machine but item in it did not. Other category names, such as "Bank Accounts" for example, was not even copied to the new system.

The Logins, Secure Notes, Credit Cards, and Identities categories will be listed in the sidebar of the main 1Password app even if they don't contain any items. Other categories (like Bank Accounts) won't appear in the sidebar unless they contain at least one item. So, I think what you're seeing in the sidebar is a result of this:

I had a total of 143 items on my iMac but only 127 items got synced up to the Mac Mini...

That definitely seems to be the main problem here, and I'm not sure why some items didn't sync from the old Mac to the new Mac. We can help to get the sync working correctly for you, but I wanted to ask about this:

...others I had to manually add as new items in the new system.

Was this just a one-time sync to migrate your 1Password data to the new Mac, and you'll no longer be using 1Password on the old Mac? Or do you want to keep syncing your 1Password data so it stays up to date on both Macs?

If you don't plan to keep syncing between both Macs, and you've already manually added the missing items to your vault on the new Mac, then you should be all set now. However, if you want to solve the sync problem so you can keep 1Password up to date on both Macs, please note that the items you manually created on the new Mac will be seen as completely new and separate items from the originals on the old Mac. So once sync is working, it will appear as if you have duplicates of those items on each Mac (you'd be able to delete the extra copies you don't need, of course).

Please let us know if you need help to get the sync working, or if you're all set now. We're happy to continue helping if you need us to! :)
