What do you mean with "autosave"?

If you mean automatically saving logins in Mobile Safari the answer will most likely be "no", as Apple has intentionally not offered this kind of access to third parties.

  • Hi @vaillaw

Thanks for writing in. As @XIII pointed out Apple does not currently allow 3rd party extensions to integrate in that manner on iOS. Autosave would require additional APIs from Apple in order for us to implement.

    Thanks.

It works in safari for os x but not in safari for ios??

  • That is correct. Safari for OS X has a much more robust extension architecture. The things extensions are allowed to do on iOS are much more limited, and watching what forms you submit is one way in which we're limited on iOS.

Hopefully Apple will open this up more as things progress but that is the current state of things.

    Thanks!

    Ben
