Add "Hardware" as a new item for 1Password

Hi - I've been a faithful 1Password user since 1.x. Love the product, and it only keeps getting better. I fully realize that it is intended for logins and other sensitive information (ID's, etc.). At the same time, I recall in one of the original early versions there was also a generic "hardware" to track those items. And, in the latest beta's there are options like secure notes, servers, and wireless routers that can be modified. None of these quite fits the bill without mods to the template. That said, I'd appreciate adding a "hardware" item back on your feature roadmap list so folks can add items like: computers, tablets, smart phones, cameras, smart pens, AV equipment, smart TV's, etc. to track purchase date, serial #, features, warranty start and end dates, etc., without having to modify one of the other items, or put the info in a secure note without a template.

    Thanks so much for the suggestion!

    Have you checked out the Secure Notes category lately? With custom fields and custom icons, you can turn Secure Notes into any type of database you want. Check out this blog post for more details:

    I've got my hardware items stored in a Secure Note, and I find it works pretty great. :)
